Seville’s modern airport was completely remodelled in 1992.
Seville Airport, located ten kilometres to the north-west of the city, saw its greatest expansion in 1992 when, with the celebration of the Universal Exposition, a new terminal was built, the apron was enlarged, a new access from the N-IV Highway was opened and a new control tower was built to the south of the runway.
