The Real Alcázar of Seville, is a set of palatial buildings, located in the city of Seville, whose construction began in the early Middle Ages, where multiple styles overlap, from the Islamic art of its first inhabitants, the Mudejar and Gothic of the period after the conquest of the city by the Castilian troops to the Renaissance and Baroque of later reforms. The enclosure has been habitually used as a place of accommodation for members of the Spanish Royal House and heads of state visiting the city. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, along with the Cathedral and the Archivo de Indias, in 1987.
